Mango Tango Shake!

Updated: Dec 4, 2022

I don't know about y'all, but I just cannot do shake in the late fall/winter. It's too too cold for me! But when spring finally comes around my blender starts getting a lot more love.

Last summer I worked and worked on this shake, and just couldn't get it to taste not healthy, but today I subbed out the frozen peaches I had been experimenting with for frozen mango and BAM! Deliciousness!!! And you can't even taste the THM Dynamic Duo Power Greens!

Here's the recipe:

CHEERFUL HEALTH MANGO TANGO SHAKE

Ingredients:

1 heaped cup of frozen mango

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1/3 cup water

1/4 teaspoon sunflower lecithin

1 heaped tablespoon of baobab powder

2 dunks (1/16 tsp) of Pure Stevia

1 pinch of Himalayan salt

1 teaspoon of MCT oil

Directions:

Throw everything into the blender and blend until the mango is completely blended. On my Vitamix I blended for about 45 seconds.

Enjoy!

Hi, just found your blog and am considering coaching as I’m a new T2 diabetic. I love mango but was under the impression that since it’s high in sugar it would have to be limited. Does a heaping cup really fit in and not spike blood glucose levels? I’m definitely interested in giving this one a try.

Hi there! I'm a type 1 and this shake does GREAT with my blood sugar. Several of my type 2 clients have this regularly and it does beautifully for them too. The key is a good amount of protein and having it at the right time of day. If you'd like to sign up for the waitlist for my next foundational diabetes class using Trim Healthy Mama principles you can do that here. The dates will be July 17 - August 27, and registration emails will be sent out on June 26th.

Hi Mary! I am so happy to have your website and blog again. I was looking for your chia pudding recipe. I made this shake recipe today, but with peaches and it was so yummy! Thank you!
